Why is this blog called "Mademoiselle Cochon"?
I first have to say this website would not exist without my older sister's delectable sense of humor. She would point out my love for food after witnessing me devour a grilled cheese sandwich with basil. She would also mention my obsession over coffee after I'd give her a ten-minute-long account of a latte I had the other day. As a result, she started calling me "Mademoiselle Cochon," which directly translates to "Miss Pig" in French. Because she admired (or deemed insane) my food and caffeine obsession, she suggested that I share this passion with others. To thank her for this encouragement, which led me to such a lovely hobby, I will forever shower her with outrageous yet seemingly delicious things such as baskets of Nutella-flavored hot dogs and corn dusted with vanilla sugar.
I hope my blog posts will not only cause your mouth to salivate but also encourage you to light up the passion that sits within you, whether that passion is food critiquing, bicycling or helping others. I hope the posts motivate or remind you to commit to whatever makes you feel alive. For me, a summary of my passion is making the most of all the good things in life; this is composed of my three blog pages you'll find on this site: Foods for Fantasizing, Artistic Appetite and Life au Cochon.
